Freedom Surf School

Freedom Surf School in County Waterford, provides adult and junior surf lessons, surf hire, summer camps, school tours and overnight stays. It also offers guided environmental and historical walks, and provides activities through the Irish Language.

Freedom Surf School has grown from the original 70s surf shack in Tramore. Billy Butler is a former Irish Surfing Team rider and founder of Freedom Surf School. He has been surfing for over 40 years. Billy and his experienced team of qualified surf and activity instructors, ecologists, walking guides and beach lifeguards want to share their local knowledge and skills with you in a safe and fun environment.

The facilities at Freedom Surf School include a surf centre with coffee bar, indoor and outdoor lunch seating areas, male and female changing rooms and showering facilities. Freedom Surf School is accredited by the Irish Surfing Association.
