Sigginstown Castle

Sigginstown Castle was bought as a ruin in 2016 and is now a distinctive historical gem in the sunny southeast of Ireland. On the shore of Tacumshin Lake in County Wexford, a renowned European bird sanctuary, and on the coast of the Irish Sea, the castle has seen 500 plus years of history. Built by the Siggins, an Anglo-Norman family in the 16th century, the tower has been renovated to reflect this period, as a small intimate family stronghold. The tours go up all five levels to the parapets to see the coastline, where the sea was the principal mode of travel. Historical experiences for groups are provided periodically or through private group bookings. Open events are also available. Group tours are welcome or can be combined with an experience.
