What to expect

Parnell National Memorial Park has a beautiful bronze statue to commemorate Charles Stewart Parnell (1846-1891), one of the greatest political leaders in Irish history.

Also found here is the Feagh McHugh O'Byrne Commemorative Stone, remembering another Wicklow native who influenced the course of Irish history. The tall granite slab erected to his memory comes from Fraughan Rock Glen in Glenmalure, County Wicklow, where he had a famous victory over Crown forces in 1580.

Continue your journey and visit Avondale Forest Park nearby, the birthplace and much loved home of Charles Stewart Parnell.
