See this peaceful town spring to life on race evenings as crowds gather in eager anticipation of the excitement, fun and thrill of the race. The racecourse is perfectly designed to ensure that you can get up close to the action or observe in comfort from the Pavilion Bar, or, should the mood take you, head along to the tented bar with live music on the hill overlooking the racecourse. The bars are a great place to mix with the locals and you’ll never be stuck for conversation. The feature race of the year, the €100,000 Midland's Grand National, is staged in mid July and has quickly become one of the biggest summer race meetings in the country.
