At the Medieval Ferns Experience, visitors will hear about Ferns, the ancient capital of Leinster, where key characters and events shaped the course of Irish history. Before the arrival of the Normans in County Wexford, Gaelic kings were in power and the King of Leinster ruled from Ferns.
The story is presented through a range of media, including audio visual, sensory and virtual reality elements, providing an innovative and engaging approach to medieval history. Guided walking tours of key medieval sites within the village of Ferns are also available.
