What to expect

On Enniscrone beach, a 5km strand in County Sligo, North West Surf School provides a selection of surf programmes for surfers of all ability and ages. Enniscrone is an ideal place to learn to surf as it is sandy and safe.

Participants can take part in individual lessons or group sessions and youth surf camps are also available. All instructors at the school are certified by the Irish Surfing Association and have beach lifeguard qualifications. Surfers can hire soft boards and wetsuits if they are ready to explore the waves on their own.

The surf school is open from March until early December, depending on the weather. It is essential to pre-book lessons between the months of March and December.
