Stroll through this magical forest trail, just over 1km long, with stunning views at every turn. Watch out for the wildlife, which includes red squirrels, and be sure to look out for the hidden fairy village. Take the short but steep climb to the top of Dooney Rock where there’s a bench to sit and enjoy the views of Lough Gill and see where WB Yeats got inspiration for his poem, The Fiddler of Dooney.

This pleasant and leisurely nature trail is only 7km from Sligo Town on the R287.
