Growing Together: Creative Engagement Through Food and Plants

Growing Together is a vibrant community project rooted in the Attymass Community Garden, bringing people of all ages and backgrounds together through creativity, gardening, and food. Led by local artists and growers, the initiative uses hands-on activities such as planting, cyanotypes, botanical printmaking, photography, and visual storytelling to encourage connection, creativity, and a shared sense of belonging.

Participants will grow vegetables, herbs, and culturally significant plants while exploring creative ways to capture and celebrate their experiences. Alongside the artistic activities, community cooking sessions will provide opportunities to share recipes, traditions, and stories, creating meaningful connections between long-standing residents and newer members of the community.

The project will culminate in a lively community celebration featuring artwork, prints, photographs, harvested produce, and shared dishes. This welcoming showcase will highlight the creativity, diversity, and community spirit of Attymass, demonstrating how food, plants, and the arts can bring people together in a truly meaningful way.
