What to expect

Step back in time and experience the enchantment and allure of an Irish narrow gauge railway. The Cavan and Leitrim Railway museum operates along a section of the original Cavan and Leitrim Railway, which opened in 1887 and closed in 1959.

The museum, operated by volunteers, has a large collection of railway related artefacts including a 1908 built steam locomotive known as Nancy.
