Children’s Book Festival 2026@ Kerry Library

Kerry Library is hosting a wide range of free events during Children’s Book Festival throughout October 2026. Among the authors and illustrators that feature in the 2026 programme are Gerry Daly, Leona Forde, Linda Fahrlin, Deirdre Laide, E.L. Murray and Jen Wallace. Other events include a show based on Roald Dahl’s ‘BFG’, Yoga and Mindfulness Workshops supported by Healthy Ireland and bi-lingual Irish language comic writing workshops. Regular events facilitated by library staff, including themed story-time, will also take place.

Events will take place specifically for primary school classes, including funded transport for a selection of author events to facilitate increase access to Kerry Library. Other activities taking place during the mid-term break will be open to the general public.
