Play, Repair, and Create

Play, Repair & Create is a series of fun, family-friendly events taking place across Clare that encourage creativity, sustainability and community connection.

Through the Toy Library initiative, families can discover the benefits of sharing, swapping, borrowing and repairing toys instead of throwing them away. By extending the life of toys, we can reduce waste, conserve resources and support a more circular economy.

Each Swap & Play event will offer opportunities to exchange pre-loved toys, learn simple repair skills and enjoy creative activities using repurposed materials. Activities include toy repair and upcycling stations, eco-crafting workshops, seasonal arts and crafts, and an Eco-Wish Tree, where children can share ideas for a greener future.

The initiative aims to reduce waste, promote circular economy principles, build practical sustainability skills, inspire creativity and strengthen community connections through inclusive, accessible events.
