The bespoke experience starts from the moment you arrive in the yard, where, more often than not, you will be greeted by the earthy, sweet aroma of beechwood smoke. Hederman Smoke House is a working smoke house, operating for over 40 years. It supplies markets in Cork, restaurants in Europe, and private and corporate customers around the world. During the tours, visitors will gain insights through tastings, conversation and visual media, into the time-honoured process that produces handmade, smoked fish. The visitor will also get a better understanding into what makes it so different to other smoked seafood.
Enjoy public or private tours, treating you to mouth watering platters of smoked food straight from the smokers. The tour also includes a sneak peek inside the smoke house which makes this critically acclaimed fish what it is today.
