What to expect

The centre includes the Fitzgerald Family Tree Mural, a John F Kennedy 1963 Limerick Visit Photo Exhibition, and an exhibition from the Caroline Kennedy visit of 2013 including the plaque Caroline unveiled on her visit. There is a display acknowledging the Irish Army guard of honour used at John F Kennedy’s funeral, and a display of memorabilia relating to the Fitzgerald family.

The visitor centre is a treat for anybody with even a passing interest in this celebrated family. The centre is managed by a local community organization who have real pride in the wonderful story of the area.

A trip to the centre can be combined with a friendly cuppa at the Community Café next door, and a visit to the fascinating Old Irish Ways Museum, just a short distance away. With a visit to the Stone Circle at Grange, a stop off in the magical Lough Gur, a stroll through Morning Star Park, and a walk through the Binn Lisin, you will have trouble fitting in all in during your visit to the beautiful Bruff, County Limerick.

“This is not the land of my birth, but it is the land for which I hold the most affection” - President JFK in Ireland in 1963.
