What to expect

Irish Fibre Crafters spinning and weaving studio with craft gallery, in Ardrahan Village, County Galway, is spacious with spinning wheels, old wooden looms and baskets of sheep and alpaca wool. Sandra, one of the resident crafters, will begin your fibre craft experience by chatting about the various breeds of sheep in Ireland as you enjoy feeling the different textures and softness of their wool. Next, Sandra will demonstrate traditional hand spinning and weaving. You can also try it for yourself, on one of the spinning wheels and floor looms.

Pay a visit to Irish Fibre Crafters, be greeted by Dolly and Molly, their sheep mascots, and experience these genuine Irish fibres and crafts.
