Laura Hyland - NAVIGATOR Artist in Residence Performance
This is a free music performance by Laura Hyland and other musicians on the portico of the Triskel Arts Centre. They will be playing improvised music.
“I’m an artist and a composer-performer. I’m interested in our place in the cosmos, and the ideologies – past and present, that shape our understanding of ecology and the more-than-human world. My practice spans music-making (songwriting, contemporary composition & improvisation), and nature regeneration (food production, and biodiversity cultivation)."
"I’ll host two improvised sessions on the portico of the church with fellow improvisers, Dan Walsh & Eimear Reidy, during which we’ll play freely, organising ourselves around each other: thriving, floundering, celebrating, supporting and challenging each other through sound."
