The Goatsbridge Trout Farm Tours
You can visit Goatsbridge Trout Farm to see how rainbow trout are raised, from tiny eggs to full-grown fish. You can also try line fishing if you book ahead.
Goatsbridge Trout Farm was established in 1961 and today is a leading provider of premium Irish Rainbow Trout around Ireland. Visitors to the farm in the outskirts of Thomastown, County Kilkenny, are welcome to can watch the trout at stages from eyed ova in the hatchery until they reach maturity at 20 months in the earthen pond.
For an opportunity to have a go at line fishing or for more information for schools, groups or casual visitors that might include lunch. Please note: pre-booking is essential.
