Tides of Time Visitor Centre follows the story of Carrick-on-Suir, from its earliest origins through medieval times, the growth of industry, the River Suir, its people and its enduring connections.
Using immersive audio visual experiences, interactive technology and authentic community voices, visitors can discover the people, places and events that shaped this remarkable town and its surrounding region. One of the voices guiding visitors is Dorothea Herbert, diarist and poet. Her remarkable memoirs provide a rare and vivid insight into the social history and customs of the town in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Visitors can also enjoy the Three Bridges Café, the bookshop and the gift shop.
