A Geopark is an area recognised by UNESCO (the United Nations' educational, scientific, and cultural organisation) to have exceptional geological heritage.

The Cuilcagh Lakelands Geopark takes in numerous sites, many of which are open to the public. All of the sites provide for a variety of interests, including geology, archaeology, history, folklore, wildlife, and activities such as cycling and walking.
