Families can enjoy a walk through this historic city park, admiring the colourful flowers, lawns, and trees. There are monuments like the Richard Russell fountain and a bandstand to see.

The People's Park in the heart of Georgian Limerick City, offers a joyous riot of colour from spring until autumn. Its imposing entrance is a limestone triumphal arch.

Formally opened in 1877, it was gifted to the people of the city by the Earl of Limerick. The park is a credit to the band of workers who provide the city with colour and shade, where locals and visitors can enjoy beautifully maintained lawns, rosebushes, flowering trees and so much more.

Admire the Richard Russell fountain, the only one of its kind in Ireland, or the iconic bandstand and the memorial Doric column dedicated to 19th century local MP Thomas Spring Rice.
