Sneem International Storytelling & Folklore Festival 2026

This festival in Sneem has storytelling, lectures, and performances for all ages. Children have their own events, and adults can enjoy plays and a choir concert.
Our festival is in its 13th year. We have had visitors from USA, Hawaii, Europe, Australia and Ireland many of whom return annually. There are children's events, story swaps where you can tell your stories, two very interesting lectures, a concert by the local South Kerry Rosen Choir and Batt Burns Rambling House, you can even learn what Irish place names mean and how they came about. Our storytellers are from Ireland and Turkey they are well known and perform all over the world. Our Saturday night this year has Seamus O'Rourke performing a J B Keane play which has been in Dublin and travelling around the country. Our local drama group is performing on Sunday The Gaol Gate.
Weekend ticket €75 or pay as you go.
