Dromana House Gardens are open for historic tours by a member of the family in June, July and also for Heritage Week in August. They are open Tuesdays to Saturdays and other times throughout the year by appointment. Dromana House has been featured in the Top 100 Historic House Destinations in the British Isles and the Island of Ireland book by Joshua Stevenson.
Dromana Gardens are a botanical gem with 3.5km of paths through the planted woodlands winding down to the river’s edge. The gardens are best known for the extensive species of rhododendron, Camelia, azalea, hydrangea and Eucryphia, to mention but a few. Also within the garden of nearly 30 acres, are two fascinating historic ruins, The Bastion and the Rock House. Dromana House is located in an area of great historic interest in County Waterford.
